Creating a journey

Go to Data > Journeys:

Click +Add New in the top right:

Active? This toggle enables / disables your journey. It'll be greyed out until you add at least one waypoint.
Sequential If this is enabled, learners have to complete each waypoint in the order that the journey has specified. If it's not, learners can complete the waypoints in any order. 
Repeatable If this is enabled, the journey can be completed multiple times by the same learner. 
Track by persona If this is enabled, the journey will track the completion of its waypoints per a persona rather than per an individual account on the different learning platforms connected to your Learning Record Store.  
Name Give your journey a descriptive name.
Sources Select which stores the journey should monitor when looking for statements that complete waypoints.

 

Setting waypoints

Journeys are made up of waypoints. Waypoints are conditions that learners need to fulfil in order to progress. To add your first waypoint, click the   next to Waypoints:

Active? Toggle this on once you've set up your conditions. 
Description This is the description that will be used in the visualisations of this journey, so make it concise and informative.
Count This field specifies how many times a learner needs to meet this condition for the waypoint to be considered complete. 
Timezone  Set the time zone that the waypoint is using as a reference point - this will only be relevant if you are using any time based conditions. 
Query builder Use the query builder to create a filter that specifies what statements count towards completing this workflow. Click here to read more about the query builder.

 

Add as many waypoints as you like to your journey.

 

Adding outcomes

Outcomes can be used to send acknowledgement of a journey's completion to an external source, such as an HR system. To add an outcome, click the   next to Outcomes:

Description For your reference.
Callback Enter a URL. A POST request will be sent to this URL the journey is completed. The request contains a JSON body with details of this completion. 

 

Credly

You can reward learners with badges made with Credly. When a user completes all of the waypoints in a journey, Learning Record Store will award them with the badge that you have assigned. To add a Credly badge, click the   next to Credly:

Completed statement

If you toggle on Send Journey Completed Statement? a "completed" xAPI statement will be stored in Learning Record Store when a learner completes the journey. You'll also be prompted to select a store for the completed statement to be stored in.
