Send completion to Workday

Prerequisites: To use this workflow item, you'll need support@learningpool.com to enable the Workday integration on your Automation) tenant. You will also need to be a Workday customer.

What This Workflow Does

Automation’s "Send Course Completion" Workflow item sends the learner's completion metadata to Workday and synchronises the training information from LP Learning Platform (LXP).

Real-time completion updates	Ability to automatically update Workday with learner completion data from Stream LXP, ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely records across systems.
Enhanced reporting information	Ability to use the synchronised data to create comprehensive reports in Workday that incorporate up-to-date training information from LXP, facilitating more informed decision-making.

Once it's sent to Workday, it will appear as an entry in the training menu:

Worker Type: Type of worker on Workday.	This will either be "employee" or "contingent worker".
Worker ID: The ID associated with the learner/worker in Workday.	This information will need to be pulled in from somewhere. We recommend having it stored as a custom profile field in the LXP and then retrieving it using Get custom field and adding it here as a custom variable.
Course type: Workday course type E.g. "Web based"
Completion date: Choose which date Automation sends with the completion.	When workflow was triggered: Sends the date when the Workflow was triggered and the job triggered. This is taken from the xAPI statement. When running this workflow item: The date that the individual workflow item is run and the completion is sent. This may differ from the date when the workflow is triggered if your workflow includes delay or wait until items.
Title: The title sent with the completion.	We recommend using the Course Name global variable for this.
Description: The description sent with the completion.	We recommend using the Course Name global variable for this.
Outputs: Training ID: Workday will send back an ID for each bit of training that a learner completes, you can save that ID in a custom variable to be used elsewhere in the workflow. This is not populated when sending a duplicate completion with the same completion date.
